Happy September! Kick Off of Think Pink!

This month we are focussing on Breast Cancer awareness.  We are hoping that bringing this important topic to your attention will urge you to schedule your mammogram and remain vigilant with your monthly self-exams.

This will not be a traditional unKIT month.  We will be featuring free projects that have been created by talented crafters and scrapbookers who are sharing their artwork with you for a good cause.

Thanks, Debby, for promoting early detection of breast cancer.   Early detection saves lives.

Mammography has been shown to be an excellent means of detecting breast cancer early, when it is most likely to be cured.  When breast cancer was diagnosed, it was more likely to be found at an early stage when a woman had at least three mammograms in the five-year period before diagnosis.

The American Cancer Society recommends annual mammograms beginning at age 40, with no upper age limit for women in good health.
